bear gives to the next generation

Since 2018 BEAR has sponsored The Kusasa Project, a school in South Africa’s Western Cape Province, which provides a brighter future for underprivileged children who would otherwise be caught in a recurring cycle of poverty.

BEAR is proud to have helped the project each year give over 240 local primary school age children access to education, nutrition, sports and life skills, addressing some of the imbalance. The Kusasa Project stimulates children’s minds and aspirations to a future beyond the shacks and poverty in which they live now, for a brighter and healthier tomorrow!

bear gives to the local community

Child poverty and food waste are two issues that we really care about as no-one should go hungry, least of all cubs, which is why we support FareShare (registered charity number 1100051), the charity network aimed at relieving food poverty and reducing food waste in the UK. They take good quality and nutritious surplus food from across the food industry and get it to more than 10,500 front-line charities across the UK that support families who are struggling to afford to eat.

Since 2020 we have donated over 100,000 packs of BEAR snacks to FareShare. This means we helped families across the UK to access over 100,000 portions of fruit.
